2025 EVENTS

Ice Out!
Sunday, April 6 2025
Ice-out means warmer water and the potential for harmful algae blooms due to increased organic matter running into the lake. It’s time to make sure our springtime routines protect the lake as much as possible. As you clean up your yard, please make sure to keep leaves and grass out of the lake. Schedule your septic tank cleanup. Consider lake-friendly native planting near the shoreline. Let’s do all we can to keep extra nutrients out of our water this summer.
Annual Meeting & Summer Kickoff BBQ:
Saturday June 14, 2025 (Rain Date June 15)
Meeting for Members: 10:30 am @ the Enfield Community Building
Party for members, friends & community: 11:30- 2:00 pm @ Huse Park
This year, we’re going to try something new. Instead of holding our annual members’ meeting at the end of July (which so often conflicts with Enfield Old Home Days), we’re going to combine it with our Summer Kick-off Party in mid-June. The meeting will be shorter, too. We’ll gather in the Community Building at 10:30. We’re aiming for just one hour to do our business and hear committee reports, but we won’t have a speaker or special program. We thank you all for your faithful participation in our long meetings of the past, but now that we’ve celebrated our 100th anniversary, it’s time to try something different.
After the meeting, we’ll head out to our picnic at the Huse Park shelter. As in past years, the party will be open to everyone in the community, so be sure to tell your friends and neighbors. We hope this year the sun will shine. There will be food, games and fun for all ages. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share and invite your friends and family!

First a counter-clockwise parade around the north end, through the bridge, and a clockwise parade around the south end. Festive decorations and costumes encouraged.
All types of boats are welcome for all or some of the parade.
A prize will be awarded for the best decorated boat!
Loon Census

Each year, the Loon Preservation Committee hosts an annual Loon Census to monitor New Hampshire’s loons and their progress on lakes throughout the state.

Annual MLA Clean Up Weekend
August 16-17, 2025
We’ll work together to remove trash and junk from our water and shorelines.
Volunteers on land or in kayaks or other boats to collect trash will be welcome. You’ll want to wear gloves and water shoes. We’ll provide bags.
If you’re a homeowner, please check your own frontage.
All trash will be collected at Lakeside Park. We thank the Enfield PDW for removing it after the weekend.
Volunteers Needed! To volunteer, contact Bud Lynch at 603-632-4046 or [email protected]
